GEC JEE 2019 (Geeta Engineering College Joint Entrance Examination)

GEC JEE – Introduction:

GEC JEE is being organized to conduct efficient, transparent and international standards tests in order toassess the competency of candidates for admissions to the various courses (M.Tech., B.Tech, B.Tech. Lateral Entry, Polytechnic, Polytechnic Lateral Entry, D.Voc., MBA, BBA & B.Voc) being run by GEC. The students based on their performance in exam shall also be benefitted with upto 100% tuition fee waiver/scholarship.

GEC JEE Scholarship Details

Based on the performance & for each of the course, GEC JEE 1st, 2nd & 3rd Rank holder shall be awarded 100%, 50% & 25% Tuition fee Waiver in all the courses offered at GEC.

  • Candidates eligible for more than one scholarship shall only be able to avail one scholarship, which so ever is higher among the applicable scholarships.
  • All sorts of scholarships shall be valid for 1st year of the course only.

Exam Fee

General/ OBC (Non-creamy layer): Boys – Rs 500/-  & Girls – Rs 250/-

SC/ST/PH/ Transgender: Rs 250/-

Important Dates

Last Date to apply: 23rd April, 2019

Issue of admit card: 30th April, 2019

Exam Date: 19th May, 2019 (Sunday) 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Exam Result: 1st June, 2019

Admission Counseling: to be notified later as per GEC JEE Ranking & Course applied.

Examination Centers

GEC JEE will be conducted in all the major cities across the country. All applicants shall be allotted the nearest possible exam center based on their choice of exam center or address mentioned in the application submitted.

Code of conduct during exam

Candidates shall maintain perfect silence and attend to their Question Paper only. Any conversation or gesture or disturbance in the Examination Room/Hall shall be deemed as misbehavior. If a candidate is found using unfair means or impersonating, his/her candidature shall be cancelled and he/she will be liable to be debarred for taking examination either permanently or for a specified period according to the nature of offence. Candidates are not allowed to carry any textual material, Calculators, Document, Pen, Slide Rules, Log Tables, and Electronic Watches with facilities of calculator, printed or written material, and bits of papers, mobile phone, pager or any other device, except the Admit Card inside the Examination Room/Hall. If any candidate is in possession of any of the above item, his/her candidature will be treated as unfair means and his/her current examination will be cancelled & he/she will also be debarred for future examination(s) & the equipment will be seized.

All calculations/writing work are to be done only in the rough sheet provided at the centre in the examination Room/Hall and on completion of the test candidates must hand over the rough sheets to the invigilator on duty in the Room/Hall.

Syllabus for GEC JEE

  • The test duration shall be 90 minutes & 60 questions shall be asked in exam.
  • All questions shall be mutichoice.
  • Each question shall be carrying 1 mark each with no negative marking.

10.1 M.Tech.

  • The syllabus for the M.Tech. Entrance shall be based on the syllabus of relevant stream in Engineering.

10.2 B.Tech. 1st year & D.Voc. (Lateral entry)

  • The syllabus for the B.Tech. Entrance shall be based on the syllabus of class 12th covering Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry.
  • The question paper comprises is divided into three sections i.e. A, B & C. Section A includes questions from Mathematics; while section B tests Physics & section C tests Chemistry.
  • Equal distribution of marks shall be done in each section.

10.3 B.Tech. (Lateral Entry)

  • Exam Pattern will be common for candidates from all engineering streams.
  • The syllabus for the B.Tech. (Lateral Entry) Entrance shall be based on the syllabus of various streams of Diploma in Engineering.
  • The question paper comprises is divided into four sections i.e. A, B, C and D. Section A includes questions from Basic Sciences, while section B tests Electronics & Computer Stream Courses, section C tests Mechanical & Civil Stream Courses, and Section D tests other Engineering Streams.
  • Equal distribution of marks shall be done in each section.
    • Polytechnic/Diploma in Engineering (after 10th ), Polytechnic/Diploma in Engineering (Lateral Entry) and D.Voc. (after 10th)
  • All Questions shall be based on the 10th Syllabus covering the Science, Maths and English subjects only.
  • The question paper comprises is divided into three sections i.e. A, B & C. Section A includes questions from Science, while section B tests Maths and section C tests English subject proficiency.
  • Equal distribution of marks shall be done in each section.

10.5 M.B.A., B.B.A., B.B.A. (Lateral Entry) and B.Voc. (BFSI)

  • The syllabus for entrance will be based on:
  1. Verbal Ability Component
  2. Quantitative Aptitude component
  3. Data Analysis
  4. Critical reasoning component
  5. General Awareness and Knowledge Indian/Global
  • The question paper comprises is divided into five sections (A-E) as sited above.
  • Equal distribution of marks shall be done in each section.

Exam Results & Admission Counseling

Exam results shall be uploaded on 1st June, 2019 & the applicant may check the results online by logging in his/her GEC JEE account on the website www.geetaengineeringcollege.in.

Admission counseling shall be scheduled on the basis of course & candidate’s rank, schedule of which shall separately be intimated to candidates online & by sms.

The Honorable Session Court of Panipat, Haryana alone will have the jurisdiction to settle and decide all matters and disputes related to GEC JEE including all disputes pertaining to the conduct of GEC JEE including Results shall fall within the jurisdiction of Panipat only. Further, any legal question arising out of the Examination shall be entertained only when raised within 30 days from the declaration of result.
